Ich habe mir vor geraumer Zeit einen Naill Chanter mit Silversole von jemandem gebraucht gekauft
(Rezension siehe hier).
In der Silbersole klackert es, als wäre ein loses Steinchen innendrinn, wenn man den Chanter etwas schüttelt. Beim Spielen hörst man das Klackern nicht.
Nun stieß ich auf folgendes, in diesem Zusammenhang hoch interessantes, Zitat:
"I had a Hardie silver soled chanter circa 1969 that also had the shot pellet rattle. The sole was typical Birmingham hallmarked production. At the time I got it, I thought there was just an errant piece of silver solder rattling about, but a few years later a senior piper told me that adding a bit of metal improved the top hand sound. Schüler: "Ich muss für heute absagen aus dem und dem Grund. Tut mir wirklich leid.

Ich sage:   "Oh wie schade. Dann bis nächstes mal."
Ich denke:
